Module 6 – Family
THE most crucial aspect of any successful transfer – making sure that the family is happy in their new country and the new surroundings. It has much to do with setting realistic expectations, sharing experiences and creating a social network for support.
The module covers background information on schooling and education in the Netherlands, school search and planning (accompanied) visits. It entails finding a playground or kindergarten and informing about the Dutch health care regarding children – “consultatiebureau”, maternity care etc. Child benefit is taken care of as well.
The possibility of the partner pursuing a career is equally important. We offer information on where to go and what to do. We will assist with assessing the current CV and advise on re-writing it, where needed. However, partner career assistance is not our core business. We are working with an external specialist in this area.
