Module 4 – Home finding
After careful assessment of the housing needs and wishes, the family situation and schooling needs, our consultant will book an agent and set up a tour. We’ll check the list of viewings first so no time is lost during the tour and only suitable houses are shown.
The tour will be accompanied by our consultant who will be looking with sound Dutch eyes and ears and advise the transferee. In 85% of the cases, a home is found on the 1st or 2nd day.
To give the transferee some “breathing space” and time to contemplate an option will be put on a property. The consultant will withhold or warn the transferee about a verbal yes, which in the Netherlands is already legally binding.
Once the home has been found, we’ll make sure that the price is reasonable and that the lease contract is according to the rules. We’ll also coordinate payment of 1st month rent and deposit.
The house will be checked in in the presence of our consultant. We’ll coordinate the hook up of telephone, internet, TV, utilities etc.
